OrthoNorCal Campbell is now offering acute orthopedic care for those suffering from sports injuries every Saturday from 8 a.m to 12 p.m.
Sports injuries happen when playing sports or exercising. Some are from accidents. Others can result from poor training practices or improper gear. Some people get injured when they are not in proper condition. Not warming up or stretching enough before you play or exercise can also lead to injuries. The most common sports injuries are:
- Sprains and strains
- Knee injuries
- Swollen muscles
- Achilles tendon injuries
- Pain along the shin bone
- Fractures
- Dislocations
According to the survey by Time magazine, parents are deeply concerned about the sports injuries in youth sports. Since sports are becoming extremely competitive, the risk of injuries is dramatically increasing. As a consequence, there has been a drop in youth sports participation for the last several years.
The Aspen Institute’s Sports and Society Program and ESPN polled 1,511 Americans with data weighted by age, gender, race and income to match the overall characteristics of Americans.
At OrthoNorCal we believe in providing excellent care in a timely manner, therefore we open the doors of our Campbell clinic on Saturdays for the treatment of acute orthopedic sports injuries that need to be addressed immediately.
