With over 800 women in attendance, the 8th Annual Health and Lifestyle Expo for Women was a success!
For the 8th year in a row, Dignity Health Medical Foundation Dominican, Physicians Medical Group of Santa Cruz and Dominican Hospital have put together a night celebrating women’s health in the community. They bring together the best physicians, specialists, and services to create a night dedicated to providing women with the resources they need to receive local and personalized care.
On May 12, 2016, the OrthoNorCal team headed to Cocoanut Grove to help share our orthopedic expertise with the community. Our very own doctors, Dr. Heywood, Dr. Reynolds, and Dr. Sendher even took part in a panel. Their lecture, A Joint Decision: Joint Health at Any Age, highlighted various orthopedic solutions like minimally invasive hip surgery and arthroscopy. They also answered a few questions before heading on to join the rest of the OrthoNorCal team at the expo floor.

Anyone who wanted to learn more about our group had a chance to visit OrthoNorCal’s exhibit at the Expo for Women. Our present doctors came by to speak to members of the community following the panel and answered any lingering questions. Meanwhile, the rest of the OrthoNorCal team provided orthopedic demos, answered orthopedic health related questions, and even had a whole range of giveaways.

Many OrthoNorCal patients also came by the table with great things to say about our doctors. Patients who have previously experienced pain and became less active have started running again thanks to the expertise of OrthoNorCal’s physicians.
