This past weekend, OrthoNorCal took part in the annual senior event held at Seascape Golf Club. This year’s theme was AgingYoung.

On Saturday, November 19th, health and wellness exhibitors woke up bright and early to set up an event for seniors (and young people alike). Every year, Dignity Health Medical Group, PMG of Santa Cruz and Dominican Hospital organize a senior fair to share the services and resources that members of the community have. People of all ages can learn about what they can do to keep their health in top shape while aging. The AgingYoung event brings together physicians and service providers to answer questions and give tips for a better way of life.

OrthoNorCal’s Christian S. Heywood, MD, a prominent member of the orthopedic community gave a lecture during the event titled “Active Forever: Keep Moving!”. From his experience while specializing in elbow, orthopedic trauma & fracture care, shoulder, sports medicine and total joint replacement, Dr. Heywood provided the audience with the knowledge they need for continue living an active lifestyle.
